The San Juan Loop is a great ride with a mix of hills and flats. Depart town in either direction for a nice warm-up. Once out of town the ride follows rolling hills out to the west coast of San Juan Island. The scenic West Side Road offers everything from open views across the Haro Strait to dense forest. This is a perfect choice for the avid cyclist or those who want to explore more of the island.
If the San Juan Loop is not enough, combine several routes to get more mileage. Easily combine a short addition to Roche Harbor or even more mileage by adding the American Camp/South Beach routes. If you are still seeking more roads on your way back to town, add the Pear Point and you will have covered the entire island perimeter.
