We have selected the two most popular routes and cycling destinations for our cycling tours. If you are interested in something different or a bit longer we can develop a custom bike tour to fit your needs.
South End Bike Tour | San Juan Island | $130 Per Person
Meet your guide at our downtown Friday Harbor shop to get properly fitted and oriented to your bike. From the shop, your guide will lead you out of town towards Cattle Point Road, taking the less-trafficked back roads. Once on the main road to the south end of San Juan Island, you’ll be rewarded with wonderful valley views and glimpses of Mount Baker to the east. Seven miles from Friday Harbor, you’ll arrive at American Camp National Historic Park, where everyone can lock up their bikes and enjoy a short interpretive hike to the park’s historic grounds and scenic overlooks. Your guide will be able to answer any questions you may have about the Native Coast Salish population that used to inhabit the area, the Pig War, or any wildlife you may come across. After a short break for snacks, you’ll start working your way back to Friday Harbor.
Lime Kiln Lighthouse Bike Tour | San Juan Island | $130 Per Person
You’ll meet your guide in our downtown Friday Harbor shop to get properly fitted and oriented to your bike. From the shop, your guide will lead you out of town towards San Juan Valley, where you’ll enjoy scenic views of rolling pastures and farmland. Traversing across to the western side of the island, you’ll have the option to make a short detour to the Pelindaba Lavender Farm. After checking out the flowers, your guide will lead you to the Lime Kiln State Park for a snack break and a short scenic and interpretive hike. Highlights at the park include; a chance to visit the historic Lime Kiln Lighthouse, scenic trails around the historic quarry sites and shoreline overlooking the Haro Strait, the potential for various wildlife encounters. After spending some time exploring the park, your guide will lead you back towards Friday Harbor.
Sunset Bike Tour | Wine & Food | $200 Per Person
Enjoy a bottle of wine, appetizer, and dinner after a scenic bike ride from downtown Friday Harbor to the iconic west side of San Juan Island. On this tour, you will be able to select either a standard or electric assist bicycle. At our downtown location, you will be greeted by your guide, who will get you properly fitted to your bike and run through a short orientation. From there, your guide will lead you safely out of town towards picturesque rolling farmland and ultimately the western coastline of San Juan Island. Along the way, you will learn about local history, flora, and fauna. There will also be an opportunity for a short detour to visit the island’s local lavender farm. Once on the west side, your guide will lead you to your evening picnic location. With sweeping views across the Haro Strait and towards the Olympic mountains, you will enjoy a bottle of wine, appetizer, and entrees from Mike’s Cafe and Wine Bar. This is the best location on the island to watch one of our famous island sunsets. After dinner, you and your guide will receive a bike pickup and shuttle back to downtown Friday Harbor.
Multi-Sport Package | Guided Bike Tour & Kayak Tour
We can create the ultimate San Juan Island adventure vacation package. The multi-sport adventure combines biking and kayaking for the best outdoor package on San Juan Island. While there are many outfitters offering multi-sport packages that range from 3 days to 14 days. We focus on those looking on a single day adventure.
The Half & Half | $200 Per Person
This is a staff favorite. Combine a half day guided cycling tour with a half day guided kayak tour. We select one of our stunning cycling routes and head out in the morning. We explore San Juan by bike with a tour of our local parks. After the cycling tour, we will have a short break before loading up for some time on the water. Explore the shoreline with one of our Naturalist Sea Kayak Guides in one of the best areas to encounter marine wildlife.
The Full Day | $230 Per Person
The full day packages we offer as a custom-designed tour. The combination of a cycling tour and a full day kayak tour is suited for those overnighting on the island.
